Flight Dispatcher

Job Description

Responsibilities

  •    Prepare the pre-planning of the flight to comply with the requirements

•     Provide the flight package, assist the PIC in flight preparation and provide the relevant information required

•     Furnish the PIC while in flight, by appropriate means, with information which may be necessary for the safe conduct of the flight

•     React in close cooperation with the PIC, and where necessary, with the OCM, to operational irregularities, e.g., by having a flight departing early or depart late or cancel, re-routing etc.

Job Specification

  •          Make an accurate and operationally acceptable weather analysis from a series of daily weather maps and weather reports; provide an operationally valid briefing on weather conditions prevailing in the general neighborhoods of a specific air route; forecast weather trends pertinent to air transportation with particular reference to destination and alternates
  •        Determine the optimum flight plan for a given segment, and create accurate manual and/or computer flight plans
  •        Provide operating supervision and all other assistance to a flight in actual or simulated adverse weather conditions, as appropriate to the duties of a flight operations officer/flight dispatcher
  •        Recognize and manage threats and errors

 

 

Qualifications

  •   Bachelor’s degree in aviation field is an advantage.                 
  •   Holding a valid FOO License issued by CAAT.
  •   Military exception
  •   Fluency in English is a must.
  •   Working experience dispatcher will be advance
  •   Able to use Computer and basic Microsoft office
  •     At least 4 years previous Aviation experience in OCC/Flight Dispatch environment.
  •   Corporate Business Jets Operations experience preferably.
  •     Knowledge of Flight Planning systems & Crew Briefing Procedures.
  •     Crew FTL Awareness.
  •     Knowledge of Aircraft Performance
  •     Knowledge of Aeronautical Data and Navigation Charts.
  •     Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and / or holidays.
  •     Ability to interact effectively as a team member with other Flight Coordinators.
  •     Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all cases regarding client information and travel schedule.
  •     Organized and meticulous.
  •     Ability to plan and to prioritize work with limited supervision.
